Chief Charles Ukeagu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has expressed disappointment in Hon. Obi Aguocha, the member representing Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Speaking on Don FM’s popular political program “The Agenda,” Ukeagu said that despite his personal friendship and brotherly bond with Aguocha, he cannot overlook the lawmaker’s misplaced focus since assuming office.
“Obi Aguocha is my big brother and friend, but he has disappointed the purpose for which he was sent to the House of Representatives,” Ukeagu stated.
According to the APGA leader, Aguocha’s heavy involvement in the Nnamdi Kanu issue has overshadowed his core responsibility of delivering meaningful development and representation to the people of Umuahia and Ikwuano.
“People often misunderstand me when I say that pursuing Nnamdi Kanu’s matter is not your constituency project,” he emphasized.
Ukeagu maintained that while every representative has the right to personal convictions, the people of Umuahia/Ikwuano deserve tangible progress — from improved infrastructure to youth empowerment — rather than being drawn into political distractions.
He called on Hon. Aguocha to realign his priorities and return to the pressing needs of his constituents, reminding him that true leadership is measured by impact, not headlines.
